TruckEast Charity Skydive for MacMillan Cancer Support

On March 27th 2008 fifteen adventurous staff from TruckEast Limited took part in a Charity Tandem Skydive to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support, including one of the company's owners, Financial Director Simon Hobson. “It was an amazing experience, I would definitely do it again!” comments Simon.

The day started with a 20-minute training session where the instructor talks through the basics of freefall. The entire decent starting at 10,000 feet, takes about 8 minutes including a freefall of 30 seconds at 120mph.

To date TruckEast Limited have already raised £2475.00 for MacMillan Cancer Support with more sponsorship still to come.  Maureen Middleton, a Member of the Wellingborough Fundraising Committee for MacMillan Cancer Support was also there to support TruckEast Limited on the day. “It was a pleasure to come along and see everyone raising money for such as a worthy cause and enjoy themselves at the same time.  It was great to see what joy people get out of doing something like this.  I am so pleased TruckEast Limited have been able to raise such a fantastic amount of money” said Maureen.
