TruckEast bikers hit the roads of Europe!

Phil Minney, Managing Director of EFM Traction joined TruckEast’s Managing Director John Biggin on a factory tour at Zwolle in The Netherlands earlier this month. Phil was very keen to see how his Scania trucks were built and was fascinated by the production facility. Phil has grown his fleet from just one P114 five years ago to 12 Scanias, having taken 4 brand new trucks in the last 18 months.

Phil and John made the trip by motorcycle, and then continued on a tour of Europe, accompanied by John's cousin and fellow bike enthusiast Ian Biggin. The trip went on from Zwolle through Germany into the Czech Republic, back into Germany through Austria, Switzerland and France. 2300 miles in 8 days and some rather sore backsides!

This is the second bike trip organized by TruckEast for their customers. Last year, John also took a team of 11 customers and 5 members of staff on a bike tour from Suffolk to Donnington Park for practice day for the 2008 British Motor Cycle Grand Prix. Some of the group then carried on up to the Peak District, heading for Snake Pass, returning the next day in very bad weather.
